Hello Everyone, Trying to find if anyone has engraved on a cell phone. If it is safe.(PVC)? And won't damage the phones electronic parts. Would like to find out before I agree to do the order for a vendor. Thanks Robert:rolleyes:

There is no problem lasering them but you may want to color fill them after lasering. IF you can remove the front or back to run a little test on the inside that would be advisable. Not all plastics are created equal.
I cannot laser a chrome finished plastic.
This one has a blue color fill.

Mike, what kind of paint did you use?

I just use a cheap acrylic from Michael's. That blue is called Delta Ceramcoat.
The trick is to apply it liberally so that all areas are filled then scrape it off with a business card. Let it dry a few minutes so that it is set but not totally dry then use a card with a little alcohol on it or a very tightly wrapped piece of cloth with just a little alcohol to remove the remaining paint.
If you let it dry too long it can be very tedious to remove.
The business card is a "patented" tool developed by one of the forum members and the moderator of the EEO forum, David Lavaneri.
