Hi,

I had an idea for a shaving brush made with simulation ivory (Craft Supply) with a cabochon set into the base.:)

Here is the result of my idea.

I have a black onyx cabochon

And a malachite cabochon…

That's REALLY sharp, Jim!

I happen to like the black insert better than the green for some reason...maybe because of the "black and white" image I have for the era of a shaving brush...

Jim,
I personally like the black better. Looks like something else to go onto my to-do list! BTW, if you have never used a shaving brush, you are in for a treat!

Hi Jim,

I really like the shaving brushes! What a refreshing post. Were there any special considerations with turning the synthetic material? Also, while I've seen the brush tufts for sale in CS catalogs, do you have any tips for how to assemble the brush?

Those are really cool! Look really traditional with a decorative accent! Great work!

Jim that is just way to cool. Really like the black insert. I remember my granddad using one of those till the day he died.

Way cool. I use a shaving brush often and have for a loooooonnng time. Never thought about making one. Didn't know you could get the brissles.

I like it. ;)

By the way, it's getting hard to find shaving soap anymore. :(
