Who’s woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep.

Thanks, Bob---one of my favorites! (Wishing we had some snow like that here...got 3" of rain the other day, and now it's about 5 deg outside, with just a light dusting of snow).

And miles to go before I sleep...

Bob, that has always been my favorite poem, followed closely by some by Robert Service.

Thanks for the wonderful pictures as well.

It seems I always have "miles to go before I sleep".

Living in Texas, I miss the change of seasons and snowfall of my youth, especially when it's 110 in the shade in August.

Oh how I yearn for snow...I truly miss the white stuff. We only get @#$!%@ rain here in the Bay Area and I'd have to drive 4 hours in miserable traffic to make it to Lake Tahoe to really enjoy snow and skiing again...sigh.... LOML, however, does not miss the cold and the snow...I'll be here a while pining away....

Hey I drove through that and then some yesterday. We got 18-20 inches of the white stuff yesterday and my faithful snowblower of 27 years decided it had seen enough and died. Guess it didn't owe me anything.

Thank You..!!!! My 6th grade teacher was a big Robert Frost fan and she always read us something by R. Frost almost every day...even if it was the same thing as last weeks reading. I remember this one and also "The Pasture Spring".....I shain't be gone long...you come too.

I liked R. Frost so much that I did a complete research paper on him for college and got an A+ on my research paper. I still like Robert Frost to this day.
