I have some honeylocust lumber that I am storing outside until I get it sold. It is about 100 yrs old and already had wormholes in it, but since I got it out of the barn and stacked it is starting to get sawdust showing up under it. I have it sheeted with plastic sheeting, but I am worried that the sheeting won't kill the bugs. A friend told me that a bug bomb under the sheeting will get rid of them, but I don't want to stain the wood. I have elm lumber stored under there too. Does anyone have any ideas for this? Will it stain the lumber or cause permanent damage?
