Anyone know where I can get info on doing inlay work? Book?
Someone wants a rocker with an inlay in the headrest.
Doing some Google searching I understand the basics but a headrest is curved which I guess complicates the process? An example below...

One simple way to do inlay is a router guide with an offset. http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyID=1391
It has some limitations about the radius of curvature along the edges of the inlay, so it won't do the example you show, but it can do many other inlays. The gentle curve of the rocker's back rail shouldn't have much effect on the process, particularly if you use a router with a small base like a laminate trimmmer.
