After some serious consideration, I decided to take Marc Singer's Holiday advice and upgrade my dc (Jet 1000) and settled on the 2hp Oneida (with external filter). Even in tiny garage/shop I figure I can squeeze it all in. Ductwork will be something down the road, but this system should be as much as I will need (and more) for the forseeable future. It was a pleasure dealing with the folks at Oneida and thanks to the folks here on SMC for all the helpful responses and advice.
