Tail Vise Question?

If I was to get a LN small tail vise which the mounting plate is 13.75", how much room should I leave for the tail vise when I make the face plates? I was going to leave 14.75" to the end of the bench and the tail vise would be that plus the L shape on the end. HELP!!!!:confused:

The original plan was to have the space left for it to be 19.3125". But then I started to over think it and read a couple of posts that said they don't come with instructions.
