This is a spalted buckeye bowl I made. It is 6"x2.5 finished in BLO and Beall Buffed. I have another that will be finished shortly that I have tried Watco Danish Oil. So far it appears that the Watco is going to make the grain pop better than the BLO. Will post when finished. Thanks to all for the tips on different finishes, its good to play with something other than friction polish.

Great looking bowl Steven. Like Ken said don't forget to date and sign it. As I said try some of the Antique Oil Finish. That stuff really pops the grain nice.

Very nice spalting! You got the shape down pretty good and your finish looks great. Like Bernie suggests - when you get a chance try out the Minwax Antique Oil. Figure you will like that one as well.
