I just purchased the Jet TS w/ 50" rails and Xacta lift which is a knock of of the Jessem Rout R Lift. What routers have you folks used with this lift? It appears that due to the universal design of that lift it would require a collet extension. I have an older version Hitachi M12 that I could use in that lift. Has anyone used that specific router in that specific lift? Any issues?

Thanks
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

I have the Rout-R-Lift that can be used with the M12. I think the Xact-a-lift only fits routers with a round motor housing, such as the porter cable. Don't take my word for it, but I bought the M12V on sale before I researched lifts and I know I had to go with the Rout-r-lift instead of the xact-a-lift for that very reason.

Does the "old" style M12 motor come out of the housing? If not, see if you can exchange the xacta for a Rout-r (if the cutout size is the same) and follow the following link for converting it to a router table.
