So my friends birthday was a while ago and I finially got around to turning/cncing this thing for him. Its a rubix cube holder! I forget the dimensions but the distance from one side to the other of the square part is either 2.8 or 2.9 inches. i'm not too pleased with the shape I wanted it to be sturdy and not tip over... oh its black walnut, poly then buffed. the inside is 1/2 an in btw.

What do ya think?
sry bout the last photo but I dont actually have a rubix cube so he had to take that one... hence the poor quality http://joetonich.forumup.us/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif http://joetonich.forumup.us/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif http://joetonich.forumup.us/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://joetonich.forumup.us/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

That's pretty cool Ben, neat idea. I didn't know you had a CNC machine:eek: :D . What else do you do with it?

Thanks Guys!

Don- Its not really mine... its the schools, but I'm friendly with the tech teacher so I can do pretty much whatever I want with it. This was just for fun but I have also made a box as shown here: http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=48314 as an assignment.

I like the square box a lot-very cool. Sure is nice to have friends with high-end tools:D . Wish we had things like that when I was in school (back in the stone age:eek: ).

yeah its really quite cool. We also have a robot arm that you can program to work with the mill to create an endless cycle to just mill something over and over again... as if it were in a manufacturing plant... its really quite interesting.
