Was finishing up the ducting on my dust collection system, and knocked over my old porter cable 14.4V drill on the floor. In a single 3 foot drop, I broke the battery, the chuck, the tabs the tabs that hold the battery into the drill, and I bent my magnetic screwdriver bit holder. It was the first good power tool I ever bought. Sure was hard pitching it into the trash can. p

Jack,
A sad occurrence, to be sure.
But a perfect excuse to go out a buy a replacement. ;)
Have fun shopping!
Cheers,

LOL! I did the exact same thing with the same drill two years ago during my shop expansion, only it was from about five feet up. Ended up paying full boat for a new drill at Lowes since I needed it "now", but it was time for a new one anyway. Sometimes there is a reason for things happening...Lowell has the right idea! :D
