I've been reading many threads on the PC 7518 and Milwaukee 5625. It seems both have had their share of problems reported here (overheating this, collet runout that, etc.)

But all the threads seem to be a year old or so.

Does anyone know if the current production runs of these 2 have fixed these issues?

I see this post fell off the first page, so I'll self bump.

Or should I take that the lack of response is due to the previously mentioned problems with these routers are no more...

I had read about run out on the Mil 5625 so I looked into it as I had no problem. I also have a 5615 which is great as well. The story I got was the bearing type was different on the 5625 and there were run out problems. This was corrected apparently before I got mine about a year ago.

P.s. I am the type where if it were a problem; I'd be reporting everything I did about it and what the manufacturer's reactions were. I'm big on reporting customer service; good and unfortunately sometimes, bad.

Thanks Glenn, that's what I was looking for.

I'm still undecided between these two, but was worried about the earlier problems still being present.

Looks like the Milwaukee moves up a notch over the PC. Any PC owner's out there that have bought the 7815 recently and can confirm the heat problem has been fixed?

I bought the PC 7518 a few months ago and have had no problems so far. It is a brute of a machine, and the results I've obtained with a variety of bits have been stellar. I recommend it.
