I just spoke with John and he asked me to to tell everyone that he is alive and kicking !! He is so busy trying to get his new place in order that he has not even switched on his lathe in over two months. He said he truely hopes to get back here posting again sooner than later. I for one hope it's sooner !

I've been away for quite a while. I owe a lot of answers to a lot of people, and I hope to get to them as soon as I can. I also have a lot of catchin' up to do!
I was sad to read just now about the passing of Dale Thompson. I sure liked him. He sent me a cool t-shirt about a year ago that I just loved. It's still in the wrapper so I think I'll give it some extra special care now. I will miss that big galoot.

Things around here have been pretty rough. The people who were buying our old house disappeared on us, leaving us with quite a mess and an even bigger financial burden than we expected. Kinda swimming upstream on that still.:( The old house is back on the market and the realtors have directed me to do a bunch of stuff to it. Unfortunately, we are out of money, so I have to do everything m'self.

On the new house front, we're trying to get done what we can with what little time is left over. It's a challenge.....but then, ain't that what makes life all worth while?;)

My lathe has a cherry vase mounted on it that has been sitting there for over 4 months. Every now and then, I turn the lathe on to see if the vase is out of round. Surprisingly, it's not warped!:)

I'm not sure I know where my camera is, but, I think it's time I started spending some time on the Creek again. ('specially since Keith Burns keeps calling me at work and hounding me.:p :D )

I'll get some pictures of our progress and get them posted.

Thanks for all your kind words and well wishes!!

Bummer on the house situation. I hope you at least still had the deposit for the folks that bolted!

Glad to see you back posting John.

Good vibes on selling the hacienda. That alone should take quite a load off.

Pop in every couple of days to just say "HEY".
