sometime ago I posted some pictures of a steam shovel i made out of Oak for my (then) soon to be adopted boys. Adoption complete and here are a couple pictures of the boys using there steam shovel in there sandbox.

Be careful about the sandbox. It would (in my opinion) be a necessity for you to cover it to prevent the cats in the neighborhood to use it as a litter box. With the kids playing in it, all kinds of nasty parasites can be passed on to the kids from the cats and have nasty health consequences.

Not trying to cause hysteria but I figure as a parent you would be as careful as I am with my two kids.

BTW - Nice steam shovel. If you have any plans, tell me where you got them from as my little boy (and probably my girl) would love it.
