What to use to clean the resin, glue and other gunk off of saw blades comes up periodically, so here's my solution:

FAST ORANGE HAND CLEANER

Just smear it on, let it sit for about a minute and rinse it off. Every once in a while there will be a speck that has to be dislodged with a tootbrush but usually 100% of the dirt will turn loose.

I rinse my blade, towel it dry and put it back on the saw. Total time about 5 minutes.

Locally I find it at Auto Zone auto parts stores, but its availabe in other places too. Just do a google search.

I've tried other brands of orange cleaners and they all work but this one is the fastest.

Oh! And it works great on your hands too, and makes you smell nice ;)

Another option is some cleaner named "Simple Green". It is not real fast but I can generally time things where I put the blades in a pan and cover them with simple green come back a while later and wipe, rinse, dry.
