Another small piece of Mesquite I received from a friend who was cleaning out is wood supply. Wanted to do something a little different so I incorporated the sapwood. Left a couple of small cracks and of course the worm holes. Measures 6" dia. x 2-3/4" tall with the walls at 1/8". Finished the bottom using my vac chuck by covering the holes with painters tape. Finished with antique oil and beall buffed. Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.

Keith this is great ... Beautiful wood, it has a nice rustic feel to it with lots of character. Great form and I love how ya tapered the opening into the bowl, very nice!

Keith, you've consistently done a lot of good pieces but I think this one has to be one of my favorites. The worm holes, the sapwood, the small inclusion, the overall grain patterns, and of course the shape--all excellent!

Keith

Very nice piece.

One of these Texas guys has got to be willing to let me trade them some thing for a piece or two of this mesquite or Texas Ebony. That stuff is sure pretty.

I love the sapwood inclusion in the piece. So many take the yellow out. To me that is some of the best aspects of mequite! I love the piece, keep em coming!
