Guys,I would like to make a couple of matching lamps.Base will be some turned stock(maybe walnut),but I can't fine a place local to purchase the parts.Where do ya'll purchase your parts from, and since I have never done this, maybe some instructions? Is there a web site that shows the basics and provide info and can tell a novice what is needed?I will also need the lamp shades. Thanks SMC

Most home centers have lamp parts...switches, sockets, rods, cord, and shades. Typically pretty straight forward stuff.

Carroll,
This place has a bunch of lamp parts if you don't find it locally:

Carroll,
Do a google for Aftosa. They sell lamp kits to ceramics folks. I've bought from them a few times. They have very good prices.
