Silver Maple, 6.5 X 4". Sealed, and buffed. One of the few that has remained intact. I havent figured out the best way to preserve the bark yet.

Good job Tom. Some have had good results preserving the bark by applying a good serving of thin CA to stabilize it. When it flys off, I like to burn the edge with a propane torch.

Fine looking bowl. I saturate with CA to keep the bark on if it looks like it is going to be a problem. Like Mark if it does fly off I will burn the edge.

Tom besides the ca glue to hold it on the best thing is get the wood cut in the winter months when the tree is dormant and the bark will always stay on. Good looking bowls anyway.
