Very nice Travis! Why did you use the gel poly on this piece? I guess I'm looking for why one would use a given finish on a HF versus another. I have shied away from poly on must of my turned pieces mostly because of drying time. What's your wisdom here?

Thanks everyone.
Chris, I wanted to keep the coloring of the Maple as natural as possible, the Rockler's brand of gel poly does a good job of that in my experience. Mainly, I just wanted to mix things up a little.

When I grow up, I want to be able to turn like Travis. Trouble is, I'm already retired and still not grown up.:(:o
