I'm trying to come up with a straight forward way to make a number of stands to hold my wife's glass art. I've enclosed a drawing of a basic idea. The top will have a slot to hold the glass and then a smaller diameter slot cut deeper. The deeper slot is for a row of LEDs to light up the glass from underneath (the 7 holes are for the individual LEDs and the slot on the bottom is for the wires and resistors).
I was planning on using two router bits to cut the two slots in the top, one about 1/2" and the other about 1/4" (I need to get the LEDs and the holders that I ordered to get exact sizes). Then I thought that maybe somebody already makes a router bit with this basic profile. I've looked through a number of pretty thourough catalogs on-line (Frued, Ammana, MLCS and CMT), but I haven't found one. Have any of you seen a bit that could make this cut for me?
Thanks,
