Gluing MDF to BB ply - Router Top

I'm making a router table top I wanted to make it with a sandwich of two pieces of MDF with 1/2" BB ply in the middle for increased stiffness and screw holding. I was just going to use plain old yellow glue. Is contact cement a better choice?

I have a few fences and jig plates that are one piece of 3/4 MDF with 1/2 bb ply laminated with TB II. Only one problem in 2 years; a mitergauge fence bowed a bit but I suspect storage method as other units have stayed true. No sign of lamination failure and these are moved and banged about more than your RT will be.
