I know their are a couple members in the area so I thought I would throw this out.

On the North side of German rd about 1/4 mile SE of Val Vista their is a construction site with serveral large African Sumac's that are downed and some other stuff.

Most are in the 20 inch rage. They were knocked down with a bucket loader and moved into a couple big piles of wood so you will have to work to get them but their is a lot of big wood left.

Darn it all, my extension cord isn't going to reach that far. You seem to have a lot of luck in finding good wood sources here in the valley. How is sumac for turning?

Brett - I have never turned it before but people tell me it turns real nice but has a tendecy to crack and warp .
