Hello,
I am just about finished with a mother's day project which is a plant stand. The frame was squared and assembled, but when I attached the table top, the frame shifted a bit off square which caused the stand to be unlevel and a little wobbly.
I was wondering if any of you have any tricks or tips that you use to address this problem, or if I'm failing in other areas of the construction. I was thinking of using a coping saw to trim a bit off of the high legs that are causing the wobbling.

Coping saws are tough to get nice square and flat kerfs. They're designed to cut curves so they don't do well cutting straight. I'd suggest a regular backsaw or dozuki, depending on West/East preference. Use a saw with fine teeth to help reduce or eliminate tear out/chipping.

Put the table on a flat surface - workbench or assembly table. Shim. Use duplicate shim to mark out longer legs. Saw to leave the pencil line.

Take a track sander to it and be sparing.
