I recently picked up a few LN low-angle planes and the LN Cabinet Scraper plane. Originally my thought was to also get extra blades and grind them to a high angle to use with figured wood. But then I started wondering if I really need the extra blades since the Cabinet Scraper might do the job just as well. I would use the LA jack or smoother to get close and then switch to the scraper to finish up. Does this make sense? Is there something I'm overlooking?
