Sorry for the bad photo... my photography skills are not good at all.

This is a 10" tall Pepper Mill I just finnished this morning. It is made out of
Clario Walnut. I am really enjoying turning. I hope my skills will get better
as I take a few turning classes this summer. planning on breaking it in tonight.

any comments are welcome:)

Your photography looks fine. The mill looks beautiful! Nice shape and finish! What finish did you use for this one??

Ron, very nice looking peppermill! I haven't made one yet but sure like your design! From what I've read here at SMC there are a number of different internal works that you can use - what did you use? Also, what did you use for a finish? Nice job!

to take the photo I placed a roll of Tivek on the hood of my car out in my driveway to get a white background.

The 10" kit I purchased is from Rockler , its a few minutes from my work.

I finished it with two coats of walnut oil, then two coats of salad bowl finish and three coats if lacquer. I used #0000 steel wool between the coats of lacquer.

Looks very nice Ron. I've yet to do one myself but I do like yours.
