Am looking for a little feedback.

What type of tools do you use for tuning your table saw, jointer, ect.

I have read a few reviews on the mastergage classic and am looking for a little more feedback. All comments would be greatly welcomed..

I've been adjsting machines professionally long before these thing ever came out. I still think the best and cheapest way to go is to buy an import indicator, flex arm base and 1/2" button tip. You can make other bases from a block of wood for other applications. I can do anything the expensive store bought thing can do with the budget set up. Mine actuallly has a better indicator I inherited but the imports are plenty accurate and the Mastergauge and Tablesawaligner have import gauges as well I recall. You can use their site info on how to use them if you aren't familiar with machine set up. Most of the hobby mags have had plenty of articles on how to do it with the DIY set up. I think you will learn more with that approach. You don't always have to buy stuff of the shelf. I think it's far more educatuional with the "McGyver" approach. There tons of web sites showing their home made alignment gauges out there and how they use them.

Also a $5 feeler gauge and a simple straightedge would round out your alignment kit. A 4' from the Lee Valley or places that sell flooring tools. Also a dial caliper is a great tool. Around $15 for a 6". I recommend you shop at
www.use-enco.com (http://www.use-enco.com) or www.wttool.com (http://www.wttool.com) for your indicator and accessories.
