I have been searching for a source of 9/16 inch forstner bits. I have not found a source yet. All jump in 1/8 increments. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Lee Valley (http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=42244&cat=1,180,42240)offers Forstner bits in 1/16" increments. I bought a set of 16th sizes that fit between my existing set that was 1/8" increment - it's the "Set of 6".

BTW - If you buy the "Set of 6" you need to have somewhere to put them. I contacted Rob Lee and he gave me the part number of a box that Lee Valley has that will hold the set of 6. I had to call Lee Valley to order it - you can't put the order in through the web. The part number of the box is 06J1213 and it's $7.25. I know, I know, you could build a box yourself but this is quicker.

I bought an inexpensive set by 1/8" form 3/16 to 2 1/16" recently to compliment the set from 1/4" to 2 1/8" by 1/8"and I think it came from Wordworkers Supply. The bits came in a case on sale for aout $40 and of course are from China, but do an adequate job for the occasion when the 1/16" is needed rather than the normal 1/8" increment. I had occasions in the past to need an odd size and saw the sale, and then had a need shortly after they arrived. It may be a long time before the next need, but that also applies to several other tools in the shop.
