This weeks project is building a light box and digging the tripod out of storage :)

...a small group of boxes made last month. The dark ones are from a stick of rosewood that the lovely Karen got for me. The lighter one is cherry. The tallest is about 3 inches.. all are about an 1.25" in diameter. Finished with a little oil and buffed.

I like this forum.. the members are helpfull and really supportive. Thanks!

I particularly like the cherry box. I too enjoy doing boxes and appreciate seeing other's work to get ideas on shape and balance. I would have been more than proud to have done any of these.

Some awesome looking boxes there... nice variety of patterns! I like the swirly grain of the cherry, but I have always liked the color and patterns of cocobolo too! All look great!
