View Full Version : Cedar Natural Edge Bowl and a Hollow Form

Well, at least these two pieces didn't explode on me. They're both from the same Cedar log.

I realize the HF is a little squatty, but it was originally intended to be a bowl. I noticed a crack towards the top when I was roughing it round, so it ended up as a hollow form.

Critiques and comments are always appreciated.

Don those are a couple of beauties. I like the HF. Nice work.

Nice work Don! Great looking color on both pieces! Really like your HF and the way you didn't finish the rim and just left it natural. Nice touch!

Some really nice work! I like the coloring patter on the hf - has a really nice look! The NE also is a great piece with some cool edges! Great job!

Oh, what's your finish?

Both are nicely done. The HF doesn't look "squatty" at all. Very pleasing form.

Don great work the shape is fine in my opinion,and the color is nice also.The only thing I would have done different is make the bowl a little thinner,but thats me good job.

A couple of nice one's Don. I like working with Cedar makes the shop smell great.
