Cherry from the farm. The large bowl is 12x6", the eight small bowls are all around 6". They all have a light coat of poly on the outside, mineral oil on the inside, buffed a little. This set will see regular use.

Thanks!

Very, very nice indeed!!!!

It'll be interesting to me any way.....to see how long a "user bowl" will last before it starts degrading from extended use. I've been poking around at various woods to use for "user bowls" for the family to use around the house. I know Bill Grumbine uses wooden bowls in his home. Seems to me that Cherry was an excellent choice Tom. I like it. :D

Poly on the outside, and mineral oil on the inside? That is an interesting combination. I am curious as to why you didn't use the same finish on the inside and outside. I would think that the two surfaces will age/patina at different rates, and that being different, may cause different stress factors on the wood.

That's a great set you made there. A nice natural look from some honest wood. I hope they serve you well.
