i searched the forum for the phrase in the title and got nothing..

sooooooooo..

i just picked up the dewalt 2.25HP 3 base kit (mostly) for a job im about to do.

actually im really not doing much on this job, ill only be using an 1/8" roundover, 1/4" cove, and flush trimming on some cedar as part of constructing a pergola.. just some simple detail work.. etc

i was wondering what books you folks might recommend for someone who is in my situation and inderested in the ins and outs of how to make the most out of one of these things...

thanks in advance..

Go to this web site:

www.patwarner.com (http://www.patwarner.com)

It has a lot of good information on routing techniques and tools.

Pat Warner's site is an excellent reference. Another good resource is a book called "Router Magic" by Bill Hylton. He explains techniques and has plans for numerous jigs and fixtures.

I recommend "Woodworking with the Router", another book by Bill Hylton. Make sure that you get the new one - copyright 2006. It's excellent and has been revised heavily from the previous version.

I'd include a link to the book on Amazon, but this forum doesn't allow filthy, disgusting things like that! (And yes, that irritates the heck out of me.)

Regards,

Dan.

Dan - You are misinformed. This forum allow links, but not links to other forums. Links to Amazon are fine.
