Hello again. My fiance took pictures of some of my work this afternoon and I thought I would post a few pics for comments. Im pretty new, but my skills are improving.. thanks!

I found a couple of spalted (starting to rot) cherry pieces..

Its about 6.5x3", about an 1/8" thick, DNA, Danish Oil, and that crack goes all the way through.. how it survived I cant explain.. lots of CA helped!

Tom that is a beauty. I wish my first couple looked that good. I like what you did with the foot. Great job and finish.

Tom....Nice work! I had some cherry sent to me from SC that did the same thing. If you run into the same problem again, consider mixing crushed instant coffee crystals with epoxy and filling the crack before you finish turn it. It gives the piece a better chance of surviving and a better chance of your survival too!

Nice work Tom!

Tom, absolutely love working with cherry and you managed to turn a really nice bowl! Love all the spalting and grain! Also like the way you left the finish with just the oil - sometimes that's all you need! Nice work!

Tom great job.Saving those cracked ones is always a challenge. I use sawdust from the turning and ca glue, but I have also used fine colored sand to get different colors and effects,
