Anyone got anything for me to make a simple glider for my 4 and 2 y/o? I got a bunch of 1/4 balsa and no use for it at the moment.

1/4" seems awful thick for a glider for that age. The little indoor type balsa planes (maybe 1 foot wing span) would use something like 1/16" thick for the wings. 1/4" seems more appropriate for a large one with a several foot wingspan, but I'd think that would be hard for a 4 year old to handle, let alone a 2 yr old.

One thought is to do a search for the plans from Buzz for his aircraft, that I think was posted here. It was something like an F-15 and might have used 1/4". But it's not a small indoor glider.

not sure why i said 1/4. It's 1/16th.

This one needs a little smoothing with the shape tool but maybe it will work for you. Adjust the slot widths to your material thickness and maybe experiment with wing design and weighting the nose.

Thanks, I'll let you know how it turns out.
