hi everyone. can someone tell me how much i should charge. for etching a 4 ft. x 8 ft. sheet of glass?
i have a 60 watt vy-tek laser.

Firstly , you need to determine if it's a job ONLY a laser can do , it might be easier and quicker to use a mask and a blaster unless it is a photographic or extremely high detail job.
Do a small portion of the job , like the first few inches , as a dry run. Extrapolate the timing to see how long the whole job will take and charge per minute. I would not go lower than $1 a minute.
Bear in mind it might take a long time to set up the job and prepare the artwork and bear in mind too , that if its a real long job , there might be a glitch and you might have to replace or you might mess up the material.
If it IS a job than can be done with blasting and a mask , then your price will be pretty high compared as will your risk and the quality of etching is also not great using a laser , so in that case I would decline the job on the laser.
