Japanese import laws and customs ( as in customs agents ) are the real deal. Getting any animals into the coutry let alone 2000 sheep would be quite a trick. I'm sure Stu can atest to this.

Limbaugh was never very strong on fact checking. And even though they are all foreigners doesn't make the Japanese any more dumb (or smart) than us here in the USA. I can't imagine selling a sheep to any one here in the US and managing to convince 'em it was a poodle.

Almost daily, I get some email with "interesting" stuff like this. I have come to rely on www.snopes.com (http://www.snopes.com) to check these tales out to see if they are fact or fiction.

This is a variation of an urban legend about the dog from south america that turned out to be a large rat. Also not true, but the stories are virtually identical.
