First NE Bowl

Turned this walnut NE bowl. Second bowl, first NE. Roughed and coated the end grain with anchorseal and let sit covered with grocery sack for about 2 months. This was before I read about DNA method. Some of the bark came off on the 2 high spots. Approx. 8" x 4" with friction polish finish.

Nice piece Steven, you were braver than I was... I waited 6 months then did a NE on a 4 inch walnut limb piece....huh that was exciting :( . yours looks way better than mine did , keep it up !

Hey Steven that is a great NE. I really like doing those. As far as the bark goes it is hit and miss. Some stay on good others lose some here and there. If I see it loose I use CA to keep it in place. Nice job.
