Latest piece in my Dimpled and Dyed series (LOL, like I've turned enough to have a series). Okay it's the ninth one of these I've done. This is Maple and the rim is Dyed with artisan Red Dye and Dimpled with a Dremal Tool. It measures 6" dia. x 4-3/4" tall and the walls are approx 3/16". Finished with antique oil and Beall buffed. Not asking for a formal critique but be honest with your comments. Thanks for looking.

Oh, geeze, Keith, another one!?? I've run out of adjectives to describe your work. I LOVE the form of this one, but I'm not overly crazy about the red. That's just me--so don't take it as a criticism. Outstanding!!

I think it's beautiful and the red/dimples was a nice little surprise.

Most all the complimentary words have already been used. So I'll just say that I like it....a lot. :D

Beautiful form on this. I am not crazy about the red or the dimpleing on the collar. The shade of red just does not seem to go with the wood color. The dimpling I think might look better if their was more of it. I think others with a little different taste then me will love it. Great work.

Nice work Keith! Great looking form and finish but really like the way you managed to control the dye and not have it bleed over the lip. Nice work!

A nice piece..Great form for the vessel... I was looking at it and reading the other comments, and when I read Mike's I suddenly agreed.. MORE dimples. I think the red is fine.. It draws attention, but perhaps more contrast in textures if there were more dimples..smooth outside, kaos inside? Fine work though..

Going with Jim and Mark's comments... I think you should name this one "Hot Lips"...:D

Nice work, Keith.

Thanks y'all for your comments. I really appreciate the honesty.

I like the names you've come up with as well. Hot Lips is fitting because it, to me anyway, has a feminime look. However, because I am from the south I really like what Joe came up with "Redneck". Seems fitting.

Beautiful form... I love the shape and the matte finish. Like the others said I might have chosen a different color than red for the rim! Like if you burnt it that would look super cool... but you did a great job on this piece!
