I was in Crosscut Hardwood in Seattle today and after selecting a nice Mahogany board for some boxes I plan to make I ran across some 5/4 Quavoce' at $2.98 a board foot:) . It is almost identical in appearance to my Mahogany. It turns out there was a labelling error and the manager will probably relabel it at about $6 a BF. I made out the door with 14 BF for $40 before he got back from lunch. he he.
Maybe I will use this for my first actual piece of furniture... Has anybody worked this stuff before or know anything worth mentioning about it? Google just isn't hacking it.
