I went to get some wood down from the lumber rack yesterday and found a piece of red oak that had a couple dozen small holes (about ant size) with little piles of extremely fine sawdust under each hole. There were holes for about 18" along the board but no holes on any other board in the lumber rack.

Any idea what is eating my lumber?

What can I do about it?

quananteen your infected pieces. Do a search on ppb's, you can heat treat the wood, or use something like bora-care, or timbor.

Hi Tom, sorry to learn about your uninvited visitors. Your bug guy might be able to ID the critters, also, the folks at Clarks or Houston Hardwood might be helpful.

I buy my own extermination juice at "Solutions" on Bissonnet. They seem pretty knowledgeable.

If you need help moving your lumber stash please give me a call.

Tom, in Houston and just across the golf course from your bug infested lumber.
