In order to get a set of tool drawers done quickley I bought a set of onsale ones. One drawer was lighter than the rest. I added Transtint Amber to Oxford USL gloss and sprayed on two coats. All of the drawers came out great, just the right abount of brown color I wanted. The lighter one had a yellow cast to it. Continuing on in ignorance I added some more amber to the mix and we are now talking YELLOW. What can I add to get back to a light to medium shade of brown. I might add the oak had a 1lb cut of blond shellac and was sprayed in thin coats.
Thank you

In principle purple will neutrallize yellow, but it's likely to be a challenge. Best to work out the finishing schedule on scraps from the same woods than to try to correct things on the actual product.
