Despite using a dust collector on my stationary tools, I just filled my garage with fine dust using a Bosch 1295 random orbit sander. It has a little dust cartridge which was not at all adequate. Has anyone tried their adaptor either with a shop-vac or with a stepped-down hose to a dust collector?

I am about to buy a Bosch 1587 or 1590 Jigsaw. I dee a dust-collector adapter for the 1590 and see in the manual that one was made for the 1587. Has anyone tried these? Any recommendation.

I have the adapter on the 1295DVS and it's the best $3 I've spent in awhile. I have a 1591 but did not get the adapter. I got the sander after the ROS and now seeing how well the vacuum works with the ROS, I am thinking about the adapter for the jigsaw.

I have 3 1295's each fitted with vac adaptor. I bought the Bosch hose on Amazon that is a perfect fit for the adapter. I did shorten the hose a bit, as I think it was like 20' or so. I shortened to about 10'. It plugs directly into the 2.5" hose of my Ridgid shop vac. I don't think stepped down hose to a DC is going to work. The hose is like 1.25" and you will need higher velocity air movement.

No experience with Jigsaw vac adapt, however I don't use the Bosch Jigsaw a lot anymore and dust tends to not be that fine for the Jigsaw.

I too have 1295DVS and a 3727DVS. I use the adaptor and hose to a shop vac. Works like a champ!

I have a Bosch 1590 EVS and cannot find a dust collector adapter. The Bosch site does not show one at this time.
