Very nice, give me an idea of what the 15 Bog Oak blanks I have setting should look like

What a splendid pen! Is that the natural color or is it dyed? Excellent piece!

The color is 100% natural, it's the color wood/animals/people that have laid in a bog for hundreds (or thousands) of years get.

Wow that is cool! Does it have a grain like regular oak or is it a totally different wood?

Wow, that's a beauty of a pen. Bog Oak, I assume that's some of that wood that's been preserved in the bog for hundreds or thousands of years? Almost looks like it was turning to coal!

It's just Oak, that got soaked in a bog for a very long time. The minerals, acids and low oxygen cause the color.

The blanks I bought I got from a fellow in Ireland, the info he sent says the Oak was dug up in 1994 in County Cork. Dating by the Queens University in Belfast carbon dated it to 449 to 563AD

You will find Bog Oak being sold from time to time, but it is slightly rare.

Stan that is a real gem. I tell ya that pen would become my personel pen. I have read about wood like that. Wow it is stunning.

The pen itself is beautiful, the story of the wood just puts it over the top! Outstanding!

Gorgeous pen! The wood works well with that style of pen.
