Well, after 2 years, the TV stand is finally finished!

I cut out all the pieces a little over 2 years ago from some air-dried white oak that was originally purchased to be the floor in out kitchen. (Thank god we decided to use Wilsonart Laminate flooring as ew have brittany spaniels and man do they skid around on the kitchen floor - I would be refinishing the oak on a yearly basis - the laminate hasn't a scratch from the dogs, even after 4 years). I got tied up with other projects and it sorta got pushed aside. My wife kept hinting that the wal-mart pressboard with tape put it together yourself stuff was going to fall apart before I got to the TV stand. I got the hint and since I cut up my thumb, hunting season was shot, so I decided to recuperate from my tablesaw injury by working in the shop just as any true lover of woodworking would do.

After 5 coats of polyurethane and no stain whatsoever, here is the final result.

P.S. I am designing end tables to match it and that should keep me busy for a while.

Good looking, Kurt. The oak looks better there than it would on the floor.
