Great use of an inexpensive material. I use it on the fence clamps on my router table.

I dont have a clue what this is.

No joke that I can see - just some very innovative shop techniques.

Very cool.

I work alone most of the time and holding things is an issue. The shower rod / curtain rod idea looks useful.

Thanks

I use abrasive floor tread tape on my push sticks and sleds, but you've got me beat. Useful ideas and a good presentation.

What's not to understand? Yet again, more simple, effective, and inexpensive ideas from Niki. Continue to read more of Niki's posts and maybe search back through his post history and you will start to, "Have a clue" as to what he's about. He's the king of frugal wood working who posts more purely instructional photos with captions than anyone else I've seen on any WW forum. Keep it up, Niki.

Niki, great post. Lots of useful ideas here, I too work alone and I can certainly use some of these.

Thank you all for the kind replies

Sorry for my late reply but "this side of the pond" was sleeping.

Bruce
If you had good results with the Zero clearance insert it means...that I need badly new blade after 10 years of usage (I did not want to hijack the other post).

Spencer
Yes, it's kind of joke.
If you look at the posts, almost every second post it about Saw Stop or Domino so, it's kind of "can we talk also about other subjects"...otherwise, I'm talking about a few shop aids that can be done with sanding paper.

Best regards
niki

Very innovative. I will definitely be using some of these ideas.

Do you find that the bottom of the board is roughed up when you plane, sand, or chisel the top?

Thank you for reminding us that we don't need a $700 tool to do every job.

I value the ability to problem-solve and create jigs far above someone's ability to afford to buy the next cool tool.

Keep up the great idea generation!

Sorry, I did not checked the other side of the board.

I use #100 sanding paper on the workmate.
Before gluing, I'm sanding everything with #120 and after gluing again with 120, 240 and 400 but I do it on a carpet and not on the workmate.

In general, I use the workmate only for the rough work.

Thanks
