I'm buying a hybrid saw from Sears, model 92210 / OR#35506, and wanted to know if anyone on this forum owns one and could recommend a mobile base for it. I'm planning on installing some cast iron wings I own, as well as installing a rip fence with 50" cutting capacity to the right with an extension. Some help would be great. Thanks

Omar,
Is the model you're looking at the C-man the 22124 or the 22114? I bought the 22124 and the Delta model #50-289 (95 E) is a perfect fit for this saw and has the base extension to the right for extended wings or attached router table.

Sears has a mobile base that will fit their hybrid saws. I have one and it works pretty well. I haven't used any others, so I have no basis for comparison, but its sturdy and makes the saw easy to move.

I have the craftsman tablesaw with 2 cast iron wings and the 50" Bies. rails and the extension table. I am using the shop fox mobile base with the extension kit. It's not as easy as the Delta mobile bases but it works.
By the way I did some research and I could not find a delta base to fit the footprint. (does not fit the 22104 or the 22114)

Kev,

The model I'm looking at is the 22104. I mistakenly left the 4 off of the previous post. I'm staying away from the 22114 because I've got 2 brand new cast iron extensions plus I plan on getting a larger and better rip fence. Same HP as the more expensive model plus sears has it on clearance for under $400. I can pick it up locally. I just wanted anyones input on a mobile base and if they owned the hybrid saw and there experience with the base.

Somewhat related.... Just saw that Amazon has the Delta 50-289 on sale for $99.99 and is available with the free shipping offer. This is the base made for the Delta unisaw with the side extension. I have my C-man 22124 in this base and was a good fit front to back. Side to side I added ripped 1" wood shims to keep from shifting from side to side when moving. The corner base brackets fit the C-man adjustable feet on the base without modification. The inside clearance on the mobile base is 20-5/8" square. I got lucky, a friend of mine gave me his 50-289 base since he modified this unisaw setup.
Prayers to the people at Virginia Tech.

Kev,

I had a question about your set up. Do you have any problems with your saw sliding when your cutting on the saw? The reason I ask is from my research I've come across complaints about saws moving despite the base being locked down. thanks

Omar,
I haven't had any such problem but that doesn't mean some others might have that problem. I've only been with this set up for less than a week now.

Earlier, I didn't mean to suggest the Delta 50-289 would work for your C-man model. I don't know the base dimensions for the 22104. Maybe someone else could provide this info.

I have a mobile base from Woodcraft. It's VERY adjustable. Fits my 22114 with no problems. AND it's stable. When the wheels are raised, the saw does not move.
