It is imperative that everyone understand that my primary concern is to maintain a friendly atmosphere here at SawMill Creek.
Whenever a difference of opinion exists reasonable people will accept another individuals point of view. Those who cannot tolerate Members of this Community who subscribe to a different philosophy than their own will soon find their access to The Creek removed.
If we have learned anything in the last few years we have learned that the least disruptive method of resolving problems is to remove access to Members who cause problems rather than to continue to edit posts and remove threads. Violations of our Terms of Service are justification for reducing Members to Guest status and will be done without warning anytime an individual or group disrupts our Community.
Recently several threads have had to be removed, posts edited and Members warned concerning their conduct here. Strong feelings concerning product brand or loyalty to any manufacturer is not cause for violating our TOS and certainly not a valid reason to be unfriendly, discourteous or disrespectful toward another SMC Member.
Members shall be respectful of dissenting opinions and refrain from name-calling, personal or professional attacks. This includes derogatory comments concerning our Staff who volunteer their time serving this Community and deserve better than to be publicly accused of wrongdoing without evidence. This is immature and childish behavior that has no place here. Our Private Messaging System here should always be the first means of reporting problems. Anyone who thinks that they will be allowed to use our public forums to promote their own venue or to be disrespectful toward our Members or Staff is mistaken.
* The use of pet names that may be considered disrespectful toward any SMC Member, group or company will not be tolerated.
* Public posting of any email or Private Message is a violation of our TOS.
* The battle between Festool and Eurekazone supporters will no longer be tolerated here. Our Staff won't take sides with any individual or company against what is best for this Community. This includes topics such as SawStop technology and any other threads that are continually getting out of hand when Members act less than friendly.
This message has been publicly posted to warn those who are causing problems and to let our Members know that we will be dealing with those who refuse to comply with our Community Standards shortly.
