I got a new Ryobi DBJ50 Detail Plate Jointer for Christmes. I know it is not a fancy tool, but man it it practical. I am making livingroom furniture (TV stand & end tables) for the wife and the fdace frames are only 1 1/4" wide and standard biscuits would show. These tiny biscuits are the ticket. No more tedious dowel setups for me. I bet they would work great for corner splines in picture frames. Got a bunch of pic's of nieces and nephew for christmas - looks like I am going to get to try this out on picture frames.

Used it today, it is not and will not stand up to industrial use, but it does setup easily and will work well for any hobbiest out there.

I would recomend it for anyone who likes using biscuits.

I borrowed one when I had some small frames to do and found it to be very handy, indeed. A great tool for the purpose intented.
