Who is the keeper of SMC's acronyms? I read a thread intently trying to gain some information and then hit an acronym that makes no sense to a "newbie" and it becomes rather frustrating. Is there a Saw Mill Creek dictionary or a list of commonly used abbreviations for the less seasoned?

Perry,

Some acronyms tend to be contextual in nature. Some are truly acronyms and others are just 'Blog shorthand' so you don't have to type as much.

Can you expand on what the acronym was and the statement where it was used?

I also found out that sometimes just 'Googling' the acronym returns several possible definitions.

I didn't see DNA on the list. Can somebody translate that one for me?

Perry (and Ken and Belinda),

An updated list will be out in a day or two. I've already added about 40 new acronyms and still searching the different posts/threads/forums for additional suggestions/corrections.

Regards, Joe (i.e., from the "List of Acronyms - Updated 12/1/05")

LOL . . . Bob, I'm trying to picture a turner soaking a bowl in a big bucket of DNA. Does the bowl evolve into something else and slither out of the bucket?:D

Joseph,
Thanks for taking the time to update the list. I was only looking for the common ones that seem to appear in these threads regularly like "BLO" which means nothing to a rookie, but now I have it, so Thanks!
