Hello everyone,

Man I love to have a uninterrupted day in the shop!!!! Cheryl had to work today :( , and of course the kids all had things to do away from home :D , so I got one entire day to myself!!

I got the doors and side panels finished, sanded and assembled for Cheryl's EC. It should actually start looking like a cabinet tomorrow. Here's some pics from today's fun. Too bad you will never be able to see the sides beside each other again. I think the duelling bookmatched panels of the sides are kinda cool. :D

I envy you buddy. I was in the shop so much before Xmas that Barb thought I was out of state for two months. Now that she has me in the house, she's been keeping a tight rein on me. I did sneak off today to pick up some Baltic Birch for a little project for a friend of mine. I also managed to clean up the shop yesterday. Now, if I can get up early in the morning....................

The EC is coming along nicely. Think you need to rig up some mirrors so one will be able to admire both ends of that thing at once! The doors look super! So, how much did the edge sander get used today?

Lookin' good,
Bob

Bob,

I used it a TON!!!!! Definetly the most used tool in the shop today. I never dreamed it would get so much use. If I had only known I would have got on a long time ago. When I fit the drawer front in the faceframe today it took about 5 minutes instead of an hour. I think everyone should have one. :D

Terry that thing is going to be beautiful. I really like the look of bookmatching, seems to just exude quality. Course I would not expect anything else from a craftsman whose workbench is higher quality than most peoples Dining room furniture.

Look forward to seeing it at next years BBQ but in the meantime keep the pics coming.

Nice job Terry! But... I have a friendly suggestion... well... next time would you mind leaving at least one little crumb of wood on the floor???????????? :D :D :D I think you really build everything outside then drag it in for pics! ;)

OK OK I know the Super Duper DC Scooper never lets anything hit the floor. :o

Wow! I'm impressed! Your shop really does work. I was beginning to think you were shipping wood to Dennis and Bob and getting finished products in return. :D :D :D

One more question... Did you leave the sawdust on the floor until you were finished or did you vacuum it up between every cut? Someway I've got to partially justify the piles of shavings and sawdust that live on my floor most of the time. :(

David, who is not at all happy about the post email notification loss
