Take 60 seconds to do this,
1. go to www.google.com
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
6. scroll down to step #23

Enjoy

Dan,
If I started swimming now, do you think I could get there by Christmas?

The folks at Google are well known for their sense of humor...this is an excellent example!

It is probably from those crazy pigeons they have working there. http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html

Here's another fun one: http://www.google.com/intl/xx-piglatin/

Google may be taking over the world, or maybe not, but either way, they are doing it with a sense of humor.

Too funny! Thanks Dan, I needed a laugh this a.m. My nephew works for Google. Can't wait to call him on this one! He loves working there and says it is a really "interesting" place to work.

Thats a good one.

One of our local phone books has something similar every year.

"Spider wacking services" leads to "Garfield" to "One fat cat" and so on for about 10-12 before the circle ends.

Its nice to see people with humor still.

I've made the trip to the bosses office more than once for antics. In fact I'm pretty close to being due.

"These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, or other events may cause road conditions to differ from the map results."

I suppose they could be building in mid Atlantic and you'd have a swimmers traffic jam??

Somebody with Google Maps has way to much time on their hands.
